Welcome to Christ the King
Christ the King is your English-speaking Anglican/Episcopal church in Frankfurt, Germany. We are an international congregation of Christians from all over the world and from many different denominations – and all walks of life!
Our service is held Sundays at 11:00 am. It is both traditional and relaxed, enriched with music from the congregation and the choir. Read more about our services in the WORSHIP section. If you are serving in a Ministry, you will find also find the Rota there.
New to Christ the King?
We love visitors! Following every Sunday service, the congregation meets for coffee downstairs in the Undercroft and we invite all to attend. Please go to the “Welcome Table” to talk with a member of the Newcomers Committee. We can answer queries, introduce you to members of our church family, as well as inform you about English-speaking services in the area (e.g. shops, doctors, etc).

The Convention of the Convocation of the Episcopal Churches in Europe 2014
The Anglican / Episcopal Church of Christ the King (Frankfurt am Main) will host the 2014 Convention (synod) of the Convocation of the Episcopal Churches in Europe from Thursday, October 2nd to Sunday, October 5th. The Rt. Rev. Pierre Whalon - Bishop in Charge of the Convocation - will chair the Convention. The Rev. John Perris – the Rector of the Church of Christ the King - will preach at the Service of Holy Eucharist that marks the opening of the Convention.
In addition to the regular business of the Convocation, this year´s Convention will focus on the first point of the Convocation's Vision 2012 statement: Community and Identity. Subsequent conventions will concentrate on the other three points of Vision 2012: Lifelong Formation, Beyond our Doors and Managing God´s Assets.
Our guest speaker will be The Rev. Thomas L. Brackett, (click to read Rev. Tom's Bio) the Episcopal Church´s Officer for Church Planting and Ministry Redevelopment, based in New York City. Rev. Tom consults with leaders across the Episcopal Church about congregational development, new ministry development and fresh expressions of the ministry of all Christians.
Clergy and parish delegates from the Episcopal parishes and mission congregations in Europe will gather in the Dominikanerkloster in downtown Frankfurt. Bishop Pierre will also invite ecumenical and interfaith partners of the Church of Christ the King to the Convention. Participants in the Convention will enjoy their housing in the Spenerhaus, adjacent to the Dominikanerkloster. A map showing the location of the Spenerhaus in Frankfurt can be accessed HERE.
Some highlights of the Convention will be
- The Bishop's Dinner on Oct. 3rd,
- An Evensong in the Alte Nikolaikirche on the 4th.
- A fun and exciting program of events will be offered to delegates´ spouses and partners who are not participating in the Conventions´ business meetings.
